Frequently Asked Questions
Where should I be on my raw food journey? Does it matter if I’m new?
As long as you’re two steps ahead of those that you’re teaching or coaching and have personally overcome the obstacles that your clients bring to you – or know how to overcome them, then you are absolutely going to be of service. Anything beyond this is a huge bonus.
I’m not 100% raw, does this matter?
No. As above, it is about your message and being congruent with your audience. Some people find 100% raw inspiring, others find it intimidating. There is a perfect audience for you and who need you! Just be who you are, you are more than enough and you are needed.
How much will my level of experience dictate my income?
Less than you think. Income ultimately comes down to creating the right products and services for your market and converting to sales. For any business it is about cracking this code and doing the right things consistently. As you progress along this path in your business your raw food knowledge will also be increasing and before you know it you’ll be able to add more products and services to your offerings and at higher price points.
How soon can I expect to make money?
This is the most common question of all and it totally depends on many factors including your existing business/work situation, how web savvy you are (or how willing you are to invest in others to do things for you), how much attention you give to the program, how often you ask for help, taking clear and focused action, clearly advertising your services, being consistent in marketing, having a “winners mindset” – i.e. you just won’t give up. These are just a few of the considerations. With the Raw Food Coach Training, as soon as you are accepted onto the Training you automatically bag the 22 Raw Professionals Online modules which will fast-track you around the basics. If you put these to good use before the Training begins you will be miles ahead on your journey. Ultimately it all comes to down to getting clear and taking action. Your clients need your clarity and commitment (your investment in them) before they will invest in you, it’s that simple.
Who is the Raw Food Coach Training for?
The Raw Food Coach Training is for those who want to create a more involved business, with higher income and an ongoing, deeper relationship with customers and clients.
It is perfect for you if:
- You love doing lots of different things and/or being known for something specific
- You want to earn a significant income
- You are committed to helping people in a really life-changing way
- You want to establish a business that is great for the long haul and that can change shape and form whenever you decide
- You get excited by the thought of having a business that ticks all the boxes for you
- You already have been working in the raw food field or a similar field and want to expand your range of services
What’s the difference between coaching and counselling?
Coaching is about working with the present and the future as opposed to the past. In coaching we focus on getting someone from A to B without dragging up the past or overly analysing it, which can often lead to someone becoming more stuck rather than moving them forward. Coaching is about focusing on the “how you can” rather than the “why you can’t”. It’s for people who want to make things happen, who want to be a hero rather than a victim, and we’re talking about both the client and the coach.
Do I need to have coaching experience to participate in the Raw Food Coach Training?
No you don’t. While it will of course certainly help you to be coached or read books on coaching or listen to others being coached, this Training will teach you the key skills for effective and powerful coaching, and specifically raw food coaching, which is more specialised than life coaching and is underpinned by certain essential knowledge about the raw food journey and the aspects within it.
Is there any kind of regulation for this type of coaching?
Raw food coaching is, as you probably appreciate, very niche and specialised. It is not life coaching per se, although there can be some overlap. It is about helping someone go raw or stay raw and embodies a combination of mentoring, coaching and teaching as, unlike with life coaching, the answers are not always “inside” the client. (If someone doesn’t know how to make a nut milk for example, we don’t tell them “Ask your higher self and you will find out”!) As this is such a new field there are no regulatory systems in place, but via the Raw Food Coach Training I am sharing with you the highest possible standards of coaching in a variety of different formats as well as the in-depth raw food knowledge that is required to help a client on their journey.
I don’t have the money right now, but I really want to do the training, any ideas?
Yes, but they may well stretch you! I have found that when I really really want to do something either the money appears from somewhere unexpected or I get an idea that enables me to generate the money instead. If you really really want to do one of these Trainings then ask daily, multiple times if necessary, to be given the income or ideas that will allow you to have the money to invest in the Training. (Usually the “how” will come in the form of an idea that you need to act upon rather than a lump sum of cash but the latter has been known.) How prepared you are to do this is the ultimate litmus test for how committed you are. Will you do what it takes? All of this will give you good practice at being a business owner as most businesses, especially in the early days, have to take fast, decisive and powerful actions on a regular basis to keep things moving and growing. Consider it pre-Training warm-up. Do you think you can do it? You can if you think you can. And a good place to start is to list 20 different ways that you could earn money to finance the training. I have found that those who are ultimately successful simply do whatever it takes.
I know your Training will be awesome, but a part of me keeps saying that I might be spending my money unwisely... what do you think?
You’re right! The Trainings will be awesome, so it’s not about me but about what’s going on inside of you. Fear of investing money in something, especially something that will take us massively forward usually comes down to just one thing – how much you trust yourself. If you know that you will put to use everything you get from the Training with passion, commitment and determination then your financial commitment should really not be a concern for you, as you *know* that you will work hard to create a fabulous business and recoup your investment and much MUCH more. And you will move quickly!
By the way, there have already been at least two people that I know of who have signed up to a training and have said, “I can’t really afford to invest in this training but I also can’t afford not to” – what do you think about their chances of being successful? I know what I think – they will make sure of it! And this has been the same mindset I used to get me to where I am today. But only move forward if it excites you, being fearful is far from helpful.
I’ve already signed up for another coaching/business building/nutrition course – will the two clash?
Usually no, in fact it can often be a good thing. What it comes down to is a couple of things: 1) Being clear on how the two can complement each other, and 2) Making sure you have the time free to make the most of both and work both trainings successfully at the same time..
I don’t have a website and am a bit scared about creating one – am I doomed?
No, you’re only stuck if you refuse to learn what to do or refuse to pay someone to help you or create a web site for you. I will give you the necessary guidance of what your web site should be, do and say, but the onus is to find a great designer or create a web site for your business that puts what you do in the best possible light. If you don’t feel you are prepared to do either of these things then the Raw Food Coach Training is not for you as a web site is your main marketing tool (your online brochure). In this business you do need a “can do, will do” attitude. The good news is that getting a web site together is not so scary once you know how. I will help you understand the how.
When are the calls happening?
The Raw Coach Training has its training calls at 4pm UK (8am Pacific, 11am Eastern) on the first and second Monday of every month and the Q&A call is on the third Monday of the month at the same time.
These dates are a general rule, some months may be different if I am travelling. A complete list of dates is available upon request before joining if you would like to see them.
What’s the latest date for signing up?
Friday 29th April 2011. Of course the Trainings will have started by then but as all calls are recorded you will have access to everything you need to catch up with the program. Obviously it is much better to have signed up in or before March 2011 (and before the end of February if you’d like the free membership to “Raw Professionals Online”). The sooner you start, the sooner the magic begins!
